Cleaning up Pinhook Creek with Tennessee River Keeper

I was out this morning with my family and a dozen other volunteers to help Tennessee River Keeper (https://tennesseeriver.org/) clean up Pinhook Creek area where the new pedestrian bridge and greenways are soon going to start construction.
From the roadway, you won’t see much trash, but once you look underneath the bridge, you’ll find a piles of it. The group cleaned up from Clinton AVE to Memorial parkway. This is just from the 1st hour of the cleanup.
Its exciting to see the area cleaned up and soon see construction start to strengthen the creek for flood mitigation and also become a bike & pedestrian corridor that is pleasant to bike/walk through.

Work to begin soon on Pedestrian Access & Redevelopment Corridor project

The work includes improvements to 3,200 linear feet of Pinhook Creek for flood mitigation from Holmes Avenue to Memorial Parkway.
